The Role
:
As a Regional Maintenance Manager, you ill be responsible for minimising asset downtime and driving repair, servicing, and compliance standards.
Duties:
1. Safeguard company assets, monitor major component health, and support overall asset lifecycle management.
2. Supervise asset compliance and lead the regional Field Service Engineer (FSE) team.
3. Exercise informed decision-making to optimise operational performance and asset condition.
4. Direct maintenance activities across the region, encompassing breakdowns, servicing, preventive maintenance, and defect management.
5. Ensure comprehensive compliance for all controlled assets, including brake testing, LOLER's, 6-weekly inspections, and MOT's.
6. Report directly to the Head of Assets & Commercial to contribute to maintenance operations' success.
7. Collaborate with the Head of Field Service and Warranty/Technical Managers at Head Office.
8. Facilitate communication with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers.
9. Drive cost-control and performance-enhancement initiatives, actively monitoring wear component performance (e.g., Tyres, GET, UC) to minimise expenses.
10. Act as the primary manager and contact point for regional Service Engineers.
Requirements:
11. Previous experience working as a Regional Maintenance Managerin a similar role.
12. Strong skills as a Regional Maintenance Manager with expertise in Heavy Plant equipment.
13. Excellent man-management, communication, and decision-making abilities.
14. Proactive approach to safety and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
15. IT proficiency, including the use of Excel and asset databases.
