About the Role:
We are working with a vibrant and creative secondary school in Bury St Edmunds that is seeking a talented Art Teacher to join their team on a long term basis starting after February half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and nurture creativity in students across Key Stages 4 and 5.The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inclusive Art lessons, support students in developing their artistic skills and confidence, and contribute to the continued growth of a well-established Art department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and teach Art lessons to KS4 and KS5 students
* Prepare students for GCSE Art assessments and coursework
* Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment
* Support the development of students’ creative and critical thinking skills
* Contribute to the wider school culture through displays, exhibitions and enrichment activities
* Assess, track and report on student progress
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Art at secondary level (KS4 & KS5)
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creativity
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* A supportive and student-focused approach to teaching
