Role Overview
The Business Management function is pivotal in supporting the efficient operation of Technology. This role is embedded within a fast-paced environment and plays a key part in ensuring governance, coordination, and delivery discipline across Technology. A team player is required for this varied role, somebody who builds strong working relationships within Technology and across departments.
Role Responsibilities
1. Support the Technology Leadership Team and Business Manager with BAU responsibilities.
2. Provide analysis and assistance with ad-hoc requests required for effective running of the Technology function.
3. Collate meeting materials, capture key outputs and ensure completion of actions in a timely manner.
4. Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring they are accurate and complete.
5. Updating and improving existing business processes to help drive efficiencies.
6. Act as primary point of contact for the Technology function for queries and information
7. Cost Management - Work closely with budget holders to acquire an understanding of allocated projects and business area, enabling challenge and quality assurance when reviewing deal approval requests.
8. Tracking - external resource management, mandatory training etc
Experience / Competences
Essential
9. Highly organised with ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
10. Proactive - takes ownership / accountability of tasks and drives them to completion
11. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
12. Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing stakeholders across seniority levels and functions
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
14. Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
15. Innovative approach - flexible and willingness to learn new skills
Desired
16. Experience with data analysis and reporting dashboards (e.g., Power BI)
17. Experience in a support role within financial services.
