Day Shift Care Practitioner. Longridge Hall Care Home

38.5 hours per week
8am-8pm shift patterns, alternate weekends
Join our dedicated team at Longridge Hall Care Home, a warm and welcoming residential service in the heart of Longridge. Our home features thoughtfully designed spaces—including a reminiscence lounge, chapel, and indoor sensory garden—creating a truly comforting environment for our residents.
We are looking for Caring and Compassionate Care Practitioners who are passionate about delivering exceptional, personcentred care. In this role, you will make a real difference each day, supporting residents to live fulfilling, dignified, and independent lives.
Responsibilities as a Care Practitioner include:
Support residents with personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
Assist with meals, hydration, and healthy nutrition.
Engage residents in meaningful daily activities based on their interests.
Provide companionship, emotional support, and reassurance.
Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes promptly.
Maintain accurate and uptodate care records.
Support safe movement and use of mobility equipment as trained.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment.
Follow personalised care plans and contribute to improving care.
Work closely with colleagues and management to deliver consistent, highquality support.
Take part in all required training and ongoing development.
Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and resident rights at all times.

A friendly, empathetic, and caring approach.
A genuine interest in Health & Social Care (previous experience is welcome but not essential).
Flexibility to work a range of shifts in line with residents’ needs.
The ability to reliably commute to Longridge or access suitable transport.
