Job title: Maintenance Assistant Trust: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust Location: Queens Medical Centre, Derby Road, Nottingham, NG7 2UH Hours: Monday – Friday – 8.00am – 4.00pm Pay: Band 3 - £12.45 We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant (with electrical bias) to join our friendly team at QMC Hospital. You will undertake general maintenance duties, in line with Trust policies and procedures. You must be willing to work on a variety of tasks. Undertake maintenance activities within an acute hospital setting in a timely and efficient manner. Main Duties & Responsibilities: You will be a supporting member of the engineering team, in ensuring the day-to-day efficient and safe working of all engineering plant on site. Comply in all aspects with the department’s Health and Safety policies, demonstrating a basic knowledge of electrical and workshop safety, being responsible from time to time for trainees, school pupils on work-experience and the general public. Undertake training as necessary and in particular on the provisions of the HSC Approved Code of Practice for the Control of Legionella (L8) and/or for the operation and maintenance of the Trust’s Access Control System as well as on site Medical Gases.
