Senior Tax Manager – Sussex
Location: Steyning
Full time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week – flexible working with core hours
Holiday: 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)
About the Senior Tax Manager Role
Senior Tax Manager in Sussex office to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing tax returns for individuals and partnerships.
Preparing ERS and EMI returns.
Preparing forms P11d and PSA calculations.
Dealing with client queries and HMRC enquiries.
Involvement with capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
Advisory work.
Assisting partners with specialist tax consultancy projects.
Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities.
Managing own flow of work and those of junior team members.
Review of junior team’s work.
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
At least 3 years of relevant accountancy practice experience.
Qualified CTA or qualified by experience (other suitable qualifications considered).
Excellent client relationship skills and the ability to nurture existing clients as well as develop new business and demonstrate technical breadth.
Ability to explain complex tax issues in plain English for all levels of understanding.
Technical proficiency and good IT skills, specifically intermediate Excel. Previous experience of CCH is an advantage.
Role may require traveling to client premises; must hold a current driving licence and have own transport.
