Focused primarily within the South West but sometimes traveling to other parts of the country, our longstanding customers vary from workshops and garages to industrial and food production sites, Utilities and many other nationally recognised names.
We are Main Distributors for Gardner Denver, Hydrovane and CompAir products in the UK with full factory & training support.
Job Summary
Harrier Pneumatics require an Air Compressor / Compressed Air Service Engineer, with either a mechanical or electrical bias, to join an expanding service team operating out of its busy Bristol based office.
Responsibilities
1. Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment
2. Aluminium & Steel pipework installations
3. Undertake planned and preventative maintenance on compressors and a range of ancillary equipment and compressed air systems
4. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repair
5. Install and commission compressors and compressed air systems
6. Recommend additional works that may assist customers or enhance the company’s performance
7. Maintain good professional working relationships with all existing and new customers
8. Maintain company vehicle, PPE, testing and other company equipment in accordance with guidelines
Basic Qualifications
9. Experience in the compressed air industry would be valued but isn’t essential
10. Experience with high pressure systems or F Gas qualifications desirable
11. Fork-lift, IPAF and trailer licenses are handy but not essential
12. Good interpersonal and IT skills
13. Desire to provide a high quality of workmanship & ‘can do’ attitude
14. Current UK driving license
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
15. Field based role, operating out of Bristol Head Office.
16. Must be willing to travel throughout the region with occasional overnight stays as required
Key Competencies
Absolute KEY skills needed for role:
17. Previous experience of working with compressed air equipment
18. Previous experience in a field based service role
19. Sound electrical & mechanical fault-finding experience
20. Friendly approach with good inter-personal skills
21. Candidate needs to be able to work alone but also work well with the existing team
22. Working knowledge of EHS processes, documentation, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Personal Safety
