Location: Kensington Campus, Sydney, New South Wales (hybrid flexible working opportunities available)
Employment Type: Full time, 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term Contract, expiring 31 December 2027
Remuneration: Level B from $127,947, plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading
About the role
We’re seeking a passionate educator to join UNSW as a Lecturer in Anatomy (Education Focused). In this role, you’ll contribute to dynamic undergraduate teaching within the discipline of Anatomy and collaborate with other disciplines in the School of Biomedical Sciences, delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical classes that inspire student learning. You’ll design innovative learning activities and assessments, experiment with new teaching approaches, and provide meaningful support to students both individually and as a cohort.
Accountabilities
* Contribute to undergraduate teaching within Anatomy and collaboratively with other disciplines in the School of Biomedical Sciences.
* Prepare, execute, and evaluate lectures, tutorials, and practical classes, and facilitate small group learning sessions.
* Develop and refine a well‑defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning.
* Conduct classes, assess student learning achievements, and support students in undergraduate courses in line with UNSW policy.
* Design and develop learning activities, resources, assessments, and feedback using suitable approaches and learning environments.
* Initiate experimental approaches to teaching and learning with support of senior academics.
* Support learning progression for students individually and as a cohort to achieve positive learning and employability outcomes.
* Manage course administration as Course Authority, including academic quality assurance.
* Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge, and accreditation requirements.
* Make a positive contribution to School meetings and seminars; serve on faculty or school committees as required.

To be considered you must hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Skills and Experience
* PhD in anatomical sciences, or a medical degree with relevant professional expertise.
* Experience in effective biomedical teaching, including development, delivery, and course convening at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
* Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds; commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
* Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives, and values; familiarity with UNSW policies and guidelines.
* Knowledge of health & safety responsibilities and commitment to relevant training.
