An established public sector organisation based in Belfast City Centre is seeking an Administrative Support Officer to join their busy Operations team. This organisation provides essential services to support health professionals and the widermunity, operating within a fast‑paced and highly regulated environment.
Your new role
As Administrative Support Officer, you will provide day‑to‑day administrative support to Team Leaders and management, ensuring all documentation and payment claims are processed accurately and in line with departmental procedures.Your responsibilities will include:
1. Inputting, processing and validating payment claims to strict monthly deadlines
2. Maintaining accurate manual andputerised systems
3. Handling telephone and email enquiries from staff, contractors, patients and the public
4. Preparing documents and assisting senior staff with reports and proposals
5. Attending meetings and taking notes when required
6. Providing cover for other administrative colleagues
7. Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to a high‑quality service for all stakeholders
This is a full‑time role ( hours per week) based in Belfast City Centre
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have:
8. 5 GCSEs at Grades A–C including English and Maths or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) plus 1 year’s administrative experience
OR
Two years’ relevant administrative experience
9. At least 1 year’s experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
10. Experience using aputerised database for data input
11. Strongmunication skills, both written and verbal
12. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
13. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
14. Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
15. An understanding of confidentiality requirements
