This is a business that takes finance seriously and the people in it are given the tools, trust and scope to make a real difference.THE ROLEThis is a broad and varied senior finance position reporting to an experienced financial leader at the top of the organisation. You will take full ownership of financial reporting, controls and compliance for a significant part of the business, while also supporting strategic decision-making through timely, accurate management information. Day to day you will work across everything from ledger oversight and reconciliations to budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting. If you are a qualified accountant who wants genuine ownership of a finance function rather than a narrow, task-focused role this is worth a conversation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOwn the production of monthly management accounts and deliver clear, insightful financial commentary to senior leadershipDrive the annual budgeting and forecasting process, challenging assumptions and ensuring commercial alignmentManage treasury activity including cashflow forecasting, foreign currency exposure and bank reconciliations across multiple currenciesEnsure full compliance with VAT obligations and support all year-end statutory reporting requirementsOversee the integrity of the ledgers, credit control function and stock accountingDevelop and embed financial controls and process improvements across the functionProduce monthly KPI packs and performance reports tailored to the needs of senior stakeholdersCoach and supervise junior finance staff, supporting their development and day-to-day outputWHAT YOU'LL NEEDEssentialFully qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with at least 2 years' post-qualification experienceSolid, hands-on experience across management accounts, month-end close and financial reportingConfidence working in a multi-currency environment with exposure to foreign exchangeStrong Excel skills and experience working with accounting ERP systemsA natural problem-solver commercially minded, organised and able to work under pressureRight to work in the United KingdomNice to HaveExperience leading or mentoring a small finance teamExposure to tax compliance or working knowledge of indirect taxesWHY APPLY?Salary up to £50,000 depending on experienceFree on-site parkingGenuine autonomy and ownership over a significant finance remitExposure to international commercial activity and cross-border financial operationsA stable, growing employer with strong values and a long-term outlookREADY TO FIND OUT MORE?This one is worth a conversation even if you are not actively looking right now.
