Are you ready to take your procurement expertise to the next level? Our client is seeking a dynamic and skilled Procurement & Contract Management Business Partner to join their team! In this exciting role, you will be the go-to expert for nominated Directorates, driving best practises and ensuring maximum value from commercial contracts and procurement exercises.
What You'll Do:
* Build Relationships: Forge strong connections across the organisation to achieve outstanding commercial outcomes.
* Provide Expert Guidance: Offer knowledgeable advice and challenge colleagues at all levels to elevate procurement standards.
* Lead Projects: Take charge of procurement and contract management for key projects, identifying optimal routes to market and ensuring value for money.
* Ensure Transparency: Maintain a clear audit trail and comply with public procurement regulations, ensuring best practise at every step.
* Negotiate Effectively: Engage with third-party suppliers to negotiate high-quality outcomes that benefit the organisation.
* Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the procurement environment, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What You Bring:
* Qualifications: A recognised Procurement qualification (eg, CIPS) or equivalent experience.
* Public Sector Experience: Familiarity with public sector procurement routes like OJEU, Contracts Finder, and Crown Commercial Service.
* Contract Management Skills: Experience in reviewing, creating, and amending commercial contract terms.
* Negotiation Techniques: Proficient in competitive and persuasive negotiation techniques to secure the best value.
* Commercial Awareness: Strong understanding of commercial dynamics and project budgets exceeding £100,000.
* Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplined teams, even without direct line management.
