Role Summary
Purpose of the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Professional to join a fast growing part of our business. The role will initially be split between delivering a payroll implementation service, and maintaining a small portfolio of Payroll Managed Service clients.
Key responsibilities
* Client sales and scoping calls; ensuring full understanding of the client’s business processes
* Data migration activities; data cleansing, analytics and verification of payroll calculations
* Building payroll system, to include activities such as custom reports, automations and integrations
* Configuring all relevant payroll processing elements such as pensions, pay elements, GL Files, and occupational leave schemes
* Ensuring the system is built to be fully compliant with current payroll legislation and GDPR
* Guiding our clients through user-acceptance testing and parallel runs
* Training and enabling clients on how to use the software and our service to maximize their return on investment
* Assist with ongoing quality assurance and payroll audit procedures
* Supporting with BAU payroll processing activities for our existing clients
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience of the full end-to-end payroll process in the UK; client payroll or in-house
* Previous experience of one or more payroll system migration projects
* Strong Excel Skills, to include competency with pivot tables, vlookups and similar advanced formulae
* Experience of Sage People Payroll or Brain Payroll
* Experience managing high volume payroll(s)
* Knowledge of P11Ds/payrolled benefits
* Confidence in both running, and participating in client calls and meetings
* Time Management skills and ability to manage own workload
