Stress Liaison Service Engineer (FAR) in GAC Farnborough.
Responsibilities
* The engineer selected for this role will work with 20+ different Gulfstream aircraft models at any given time. Ideal candidate will have experience in post-production liaison or stress, MRB, or concession stress engineering. Daily activities will include Hangar Floor liaison duties and stress analysis in support of structural repair, rework, and alteration.
* Utilize Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR Part 25) and other certification-related activities for FAA and foreign aviation airworthiness. This position will also utilize 14 CFR 145 repair station activities and aircraft repair as performed per 14 CFR 43 or UKCAA/EASA familiarity.
Preferred Skills
* Experience creating 2D repair drawings
* Familiarity with, and prior usage and application of, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis techniques and software
* Skill in the development and analysis of composite repairs
* Prior Experience with Gulfstream aircraft
* FAA DER or ODA unit member for 14 CFR 25 related aircraft structures
* Experience with Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals
Education and Experience Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
* Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
* Advanced degree in engineering-related field preferred.

Assists with the planning, coordination, performance of design, analysis and liaison engineering supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.

* Uses advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
* Determines and develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives.
* Works under limited supervision; work should only be required to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives.
* Acts as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area.
