Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Part Qualified (CCAB) Candidate must have completed and passed CIMA Operational Level or ACCA Applied Skills level exams or equivalent level from other recognised accounting bodies or AAT and minimum 2 years’ experience in Capital Finance
2. Evidenced continuous professional development record
Desirable criteria
3. First Degree
4. Qualified (CCAB) or finalist studying towards qualification or significant NHS finance experience at this grade
5. 2 years’ experience in fixed asset/ capital accounting
Experience
Essential criteria
6. Highly developed and demonstrable knowledge of capital accounting and management accounting procedures within the NHS
7. Previous experience of working within an NHS Foundation trust
8. Experience in the use of E-Financials software packages
9. Experience in the use of Business Objects
10. Experience of developing activity, income and expenditure forecasts, including the modelling of different scenarios
11. Experience of fixed asset and capital reconciliation accounting
Desirable criteria
12. Experience of Staff supervision
13. Knowledge and understanding of International Accounting Standards and their application
14. Experience of fixed asset and capital accounting systems. E.g. MRI RAM
