My Client is a Luxury Car Dealership in Hatfield and they are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician to join their team.
About the role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will report to the Workshop Controller and be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles. You will ensure repairs meet customer expectations, comply with operational and commercial requirements, and adhere to high industry and brand standards.
Core Responsibilities as Vehicle Technician
* Review customer requirements provided by Service Advisors/Executives to ensure sufficient information for repairs.
* Identify and order necessary parts to resolve customer issues.
* Estimate labour operation times to support Service Advisors in providing accurate quotes.
* Perform repairs following the workshop manual.
* Document job details clearly and accurately.
* Conduct a Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL) on every vehicle.
* Coordinate with relevant staff to optimize time and material usage.
* Record and log all time spent on repairs as per warranty procedures.
* Perform road tests and ensure personal quality control.
* Protect customer property with covers during repairs.
* Comply with Insurance Code of Business guidelines for warranty and assistance sales.
* Maintain technical knowledge through training and reading manufacturer publications.
* Achieve service KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, and utilization.
* Take ownership of personal development aligned with business needs.
* Complete the Bronze Qualification standard within 1 year of employment.
About the rewards
The working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with one in four Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The basic salary ranges from £32,000 to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience, with a potential productivity bonus of up to £50,000.
