Supervised Contact Worker – Be the Safe Bridge for Families Location: Weymouth area Hours: Role 1 :Every other Monday for 2 hours usually from 12 - 2pm Role 2: Portland which will be 1 hour a week, day to be confirmed but will be a weekday after school. We are constantly being asked to provide services : Supervised Contact and Support Work around the Dorset area, therefore more hours maybe available depending on your availability. Salary: £16.00 (Rate until all training completed £14.00) Travel time and mileage is paid from the moment your leave home after 15 miles and 30 minutes. Role Overview We’re currently seeking responsible and empathetic Supervised Contact Workers to facilitate and monitor contact between children and their family members. This is a highly rewarding role where you can make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families. Key Responsibilities Supervise and facilitate contact sessions between children and family members Ensure a safe, neutral, and child-focused environment Accurately observe and record interactions during contact sessions Write clear, factual, and objective contact reports in line with service expectations Manage challenging situations calmly and professionally Work in line with safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times Requirements Experience working with children, families, or in safeguarding-related roles Strong communication and observational skills Ability to remain neutral, objective, and professional in sensitive family situations Good report writing and documentation skills Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Childcare, or equivalent preferred Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain – we cover the cost) Completion of mandatory training during the probation period (training provided) You must be able to drive and have a car for work purposes.
