Position Overview
We are seeking an outstanding candidate to help us deliver the Council's new Lets Rent private rented sector offer across North East Derbyshire. The post will sit within the Council’s Housing Strategy Team with a key objective to reduce the Council’s reliance on temporary accommodation and the Housing Register.
Key Responsibilities
* Cross‑cutting across the homelessness, housing strategy and environmental health private sector housing teams.
* Engage with landlords and estate agents throughout the District and beyond to promote the bespoke offers and incentives within the Lets Rent model.
* Secure affordable, good‑quality homes for residents of North East Derbyshire.
* Build and nurture effective and long‑lasting partnerships both within and outside the organisation.
Key Requirements and Qualifications
* Experience of project management and/or experience of working with landlords in the private rented sector.
* Good understanding of current housing pressures and knowledge of the private rented sector.
* Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft packages.
* A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Disclosure and Barring Service (Enhanced) check.
