An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Recruitment and Assessment team based in Sheffield as part of One Adoption South Yorkshire who work assessing and supporting the adoptive families, we recruit to meet the needs of our children and of the wider pool of children waiting for adoptive families.
The role is varied including all stages of the recruitment and assessment process, the opportunity to facilitate preparation and ongoing training for families as well as being part of the wider team involved in finding the right families for our children who have a plan of adoption.
This is a full time positions of 37 hours pw on a permanent contract in the recruitment and assessment team-Adoption.
You will need at least three years post qualifying childcare experience and to be a level two social worker or equivalent.
A good understanding of the legal and policy frameworks surrounding adoption and adoption support is essential.
Your role will involve extensive use of IT systems.
You will be part of a duty rota covering all aspects of adoption.
In return the successful candidates will receive regular and good quality supervision as well as support with their ongoing professional development.
Because we pride ourselves on excellent standards you must be highly motivated and committed to improving your practice via continuous professional development. You must be a qualified social worker to Degree level or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England, and willing to complete an enhanced DBS. Use of a car would be desirable.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
