Job Description
A leading chartered broker in Bristol is seeking a Senior Account Manager to manage a portfolio of complex commercial clients, many with premiums exceeding £100,000. Clients are primarily from sectors such as Manufacturing, Haulage, Construction, Property, and Retail.The role involves overseeing the full insurance lifecycle-renewals, midterm adjustments, and servicing-while maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers, and brokers. The successful candidate will also support the development of junior team members.Key Responsibilities:
* Manage client portfolios and ensure high service standards
* Prepare renewal documentation and present risks to underwriters
* Negotiate complex cover and pricing with insurers
* Produce clear client reports with recommendations
* Handle invoicing, policy queries, and contract support
* Coach and support less experienced colleagues
Requirements:
* Proven experience in commercial/corporate insurance
* DIP CII qualified and above
* Strong technical knowledge and negotiation skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
