The Postholder will work within a Population Health Team that focuses on place-based partnership, prevention and addressing inequalities.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Deliver direct smoking cessation services to individuals and groups.</li><li>Provide tailored support to people seeking to quit smoking.</li><li>Communicate effectively and influence partners to improve Quit Your Way service uptake.</li><li>Engage with healthcare workforce and partner agencies to bolster engagement with Quit Your Way services.</li><li>Travel across Edinburgh to deliver services and engage partners.</li></ul><h3>Professional Requirements</h3><ul><li>Ability to hold a Protection of the Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult).</li><li>If not currently a PVG member, applicant must apply to Disclosure Scotland and receive satisfactory verification before appointment.</li><li>Full understanding of and compliance with UK Visa and Immigration Service requirements for legal work permission.</li><li>Ability and willingness to undergo criminal records checks as required, including potential level changes effective 1 April 2025.</li></ul><h3>Employment Details</h3><p>This is a full‑time fixed‑term post for 24 months, based at Pennywell All Care Centre, with the expectation of regular travel across Edinburgh.</p><h3>Equality and Disability</h3><p>We will fully support disabled candidates and those with long‑term conditions or neurodivergent traits by making reasonable adjustments to our recruitment policy and practices.</p></div>
