We have opportunities for Care Workers within a beautiful care home located in Derby with immediate start positions available! The lovely home houses up to 26 amazing residents who suffer with age-related illnesses, your job will be to assist these people with their daily life and help them physically and mentally. You and the existing teams responsibilities are: - Personal care (inc. strip washes, toileting etc) - Following personal care plans - Record keeping (such as fluid intake / condition updates) - Assisting with the resident’s mobility - Taking part in daily activities - Completing domestic duties as required - Generally being a friendly and supportive influence If you are interested in making a positive impact on the lives that need it most and also want the freedom of choosing when you want to work, please get in touch. To apply for this role you must; - Have two employment references, one of which must be from a care home setting - Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc. practical moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control) - Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service. - Have a range of experience in the use of Hoists, Slings and Rotundas - Have a minimum of 6 months paid UK work experience working within a residential care home. we do not offer visa sponsorships This is an ongoing position Shifts can be during weekdays and weekend with the times typically being: 07:00 to 15:00 15:00 to 22:00 07:00 to 22:00 The rate of pay is between £12.25 to £12.75 an hour, depending on the days worked.
