So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit, and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including: Manufacture products to a high standard, ensuring they meet the set GMP standards and Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Attend and comply with any planned in-house training or on-the-job training. Capable and willing to train others in the team. To ensure the efficient and safe use of plant and equipment. To keep strictly to manufacturing methods as laid down in the documentation and raise any issues or errors with the Manufacturing Supervisors or Manager To ensure all equipment is clean and maintained in good working order, and where deficiencies are found, escalating to a supervisor. Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and personal hygiene within the department. To notify the Manufacturing Manager, Supervisor or Senior Manufacturing Technicians, as a matter of urgency, if there has been any serious failure of safety or GMP which could affect staff safety, product quality or operational efficiency. To identify any issues, attempt to resolve them and escalate if they cannot be resolved. To support Operational Excellence incentives to drive and improve efficiency. What makes you awesome A self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who can work well within a team environment performing manufacturing activities, including the operation and cleaning of equipment, whilst being able to complete associated documentation accurately and promptly, in line with strict procedures. A person with a positive attitude who can constructively challenge others as well as give and receive feedback respectfully and professionally, whilst demonstrating the Dechra values. Essential Good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety compliance. Ability to communicate effectively with both peers and senior members of staff. Ability to work in a manual role with good dexterity A positive attitude Local to our Skipton site Desirable Experience in low to medium volume manufacturing/packaging, manual/semi-automated manufacturing processes. Proven industry experience from a highly regulated GMP manufacturing/packing facility, either from the Pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry/environment.
