Hours: Permanent 30 hours
Work pattern: 5 days over 7
West Midlands Safari Park are currently looking to recruit a Head Of Marketing & Business Development
The Head Of Marketing & Business Development will play a key part in To lead the development and delivery of integrated marketing, sales, and communications strategies across the Park’s diverse portfolio of brands, with a core focus on Safari Lodges and Safari Venues. The role is responsible for driving brand visibility, commercial growth, and guest engagement, ensuring the achievement of financial targets. Through strategic campaigns, proactive business development, and immersive experience design, the role champions a compelling brand presence while delivering exceptional commercial performance.
About you
To be successful in this role you will support the lead on the creation and delivery of both the traditional and digital marketing strategies, to lead on the implementation of the annual budget strategy for the safari lodges and safari venue, working collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify B2C and B2B opportunities and profiles, setting financial targets and pricing structures, generating marketing campaigns and schedules that will assist business growth
You will have experience of senior level marketing, sales and communication experience and demonstrable experience of the development and control of financial budgets. Also experience of media planning and negotiation across a range of channels, e.g. TV, Programmatic, press, paid social and SEO.

What we are
We are an award-winning visitor attraction, located in Worcestershire in the heart of England. It is home to some of the world’s most beautiful and critically endangered species, with a four-mile safari drive-through, walk-through Discovery Trail, African Village and Lemur Woods, as well beautiful walking trails, allowing guests to experience up close encounters with hundreds of exotic animals.
Guests can also choose from a wide range of catering and retail outlets, as well as enjoying a large amusement area with over 25 rides and attractions providing the ideal venue for family days out.
In 2021, the Park introduced Safari Lodges – luxury accommodation allowing guests to stay overnight for the first time. Guests can wake up to incredible sights of elephants, giraffe, rhino and red panda, or sleep just a ‘whisker’ away from lions, tigers and cheetahs.
In addition, the park is home to three incredible venues – Spring Grove House, Treetops Pavillion and Cellarz, which play host to weddings, corporate events and social celebrations.
