Food Safety Data Technician - Temporary Position (Maternity Cover)
40hrs p/w Monday- Friday - can be flexible with start/finish times)
Salary of up to £35k p/a (depending on experience and qualifications) plus excellent benefits package
Location : Hybrid, Home/Office Based - office location could be Willenhall (West Midlands) or Talbot Green (South Wales)
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Food Safety Data Technician within our Blakemore Logistics division. We are after someone who has an eye for detail and possesses a 'get it right first time' attitude, is proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about their role, whilst offering excellent service and standards to our customers. Full training and support will be given.
Job Role: The focus is on supporting food safety, legality, quality, and integrity compliance across AFB Blakemore. Special focus is on data management across the group with real focus on internal and external food safety data and labelling systems.

Some Key Accountabilities
To input supplier data into the Nutritics system for BR and BTP
To input recipe, build data for all retail lines – Nutritics
To ensure live and accurate product labels for BR and BTP at all times
To work with suppliers to get a direct data feed into the Nutritics system
To support Food Service / retail with customer specification queries and advice
To support foodservice with food safety data input and data review (input into customer systems such as star chef, smartsupplier etc)
Some Key Requirements
Excellent data transfer skills and eye for detail are essential
QA or specifications writing experience is preferable but is not essential
Ability to work accurately under time deadlines
Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently
Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build good working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers
Strong organisational and planning skills with an attention to detail
Customer focussed and understands the importance of this to the business
Positive attitude and flexibility
Demonstrates integrity, a strong work ethic and upholds the company values and principles
