Job Title: Medical Secretary / Pathway Navigator (Part-time)
The Neurology Department is offering an exciting and varied part-time role for a Medical Secretary / Pathway Navigator. This position includes Neurophysiology Administration, managing appointments for nerve conduction studies, and handling report distribution and uploads onto Cerner.
The role involves interaction with patients, GPs, Consultants, and team members. It provides an opportunity to work in a fascinating specialty within a friendly team, with training and comprehensive support provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deal courteously and diplomatically with telephone enquiries from GPs, patients, and staff, ensuring timely communication of messages.
* Communicate highly sensitive information to patients and consultants.
* Ensure efficient administration of neurology and neurophysiology clinics, including cancelling and amending clinic lists as instructed by clinicians, Senior Sister, and ADM.
* Provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative service to Consultants and the multidisciplinary team.
