You will act as the first point of escalation for operational issues, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to production.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the safe, efficient operation of the Press Shop, maintaining strong shop-floor control throughout the shiftDeploy labour effectively to meet production plans, responding to absences and changing prioritiesMaintain high standards across safety, quality, housekeeping, 5S and standard workAct as first-line response for downtime, quality issues, tooling concerns and operational disruptionsMonitor hourly and shift performance, implementing recovery actions where requiredEnsure all in-process, first-off and patrol checks are completed and escalated where necessaryCommunicate effectively within the team and deliver clear, structured shift handoversEscalate issues promptly to relevant support functions including Maintenance, Quality and LogisticsCoach and develop team members, reinforcing standards, behaviours and accountabilityManage day-to-day people matters including attendance, conduct and performance in line with company policyWhat Were Looking ForProven experience in a Production Supervisor or similar shop-floor leadership roleStrong understanding of safety, quality and production control within manufacturingExperience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environmentConfident decision-maker with the ability to remain calm under pressureStrong communication and organisational skillsAbility to challenge and maintain standards in a fair and consistent mannerBasic understanding of KPIs, performance tracking and shift reportingPreferred ExperienceExperience within a press shop, stamping or metal manufacturing environmentKnowledge of Lean manufacturing tools such as TPM, 5S and 5 Why problem solvingFamiliarity with OEE and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience working with tooling, press changeovers and cross-functional teamsTPBN1_UKTJ
