Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer
* Produce detailed electrical designs, drawings, and schematics using AutoCAD/Revit.
* Carry out calculations for lighting, power distribution, containment, fire alarms, and emergency systems.
* Work closely with mechanical engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver coordinated designs.
* Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
* Undertake site surveys and inspections to assess existing installations and support design development.
* Ensure compliance with BS7671, CIBSE, IET, and all relevant building regulations.
* Attend client and design meetings, providing technical input and solutions.
* Support tender submissions and cost estimates where required.
* Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions.
* Oversee design changes and issue revised drawings as projects progress.
Requirements for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer
* Experience in electrical design within building services, construction, or industrial sectors.
* Strong understanding of electrical design standards and regulations.
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Amtech, and Revit (desirable).
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
