We’re offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and analytically minded Assistant Finance Business Partner to support the financial review and analysis of the business — with a particular focus on management accounts support for our Personal Injury legal teams.
Working closely with the Finance Business Partner, you'll provide insightful analysis and recommendations to help improve financial performance and drive efficiencies across the organisation. This is a key role for someone currently studying towards an accounting qualification, who has advanced Excel skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
The role would be ideal for someone currently studying towards an AAT qualification or someone looking to begin their journey in accountancy.

Main Responsibilities:
* Support the Finance Business Partner in providing analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiencies for the Legal Teams
* Assist in managing ongoing finance projects, supporting Legal Directors, and monitoring performance against financial projections
* Prepare management accounts, review monthly spend, identify potential savings, and support budget settlement
* Respond to ad-hoc financial requests across the business
* Analyze and interpret financial data
* Assist with annual budget forecasts
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Currently studying towards an accounting qualification
* Management accounting experience
* Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, pivot tables)
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
* Ability to work efficiently at pace
* Team player with the ability to work independently
* Excellent communication skills
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Experience in the Legal sector
* Familiarity with case management systems
* Commercial experience
