Owen Daniels are working in partnership with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Kingswinford to recruit an experienced Quality Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring full control of inspection processes from initial receipt through to final product release.
The Role:
As Quality Manager, you will take ownership of the company’s QMS, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations. You will manage all aspects of inspection, ensuring robust processes are in place from goods-in through to final inspection and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ISO) and regulatory requirements
* Oversee inspection processes from goods-in, in-process, to final inspection
* Lead internal and external audits, including customer and supplier audits
* Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
* Manage and develop the quality team, including inspectors and technicians
* Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams
* Monitor quality KPIs and implement improvement initiatives
About You:
* Proven experience in a Quality Manager role within manufacturing
* Strong working knowledge of QMS and quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
* Experience managing inspection processes end-to-end
* Skilled in audit management and continuous improvement methodologies
* Strong leadership and team management capability
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
