Overview
Sherwood Primary School is an aspirational two form entry Primary School with 426 pupils on roll. This is an exciting opportunity to join our School as a Class Teacher and work as part of a hard working, high committed team within a supportive school community. We are looking to appoint a dedicated, inspirational teacher. This role will initially be in a KS1 class and we ask that you outline your Key Stage expertise in your application. A subject specialism is not essential; we are looking to recruit the best teacher possible for this post. A Subject Leadership opportunity is available to candidates ready for this challenge. Our school has a welcoming atmosphere with very high standards and high expectations for all.

Essential Qualifications
Degree or equivalent. Qualified Teacher Status. Recent Professional Development appropriate for the role.
Essential Experience
* Experience of effective teaching within the primary phase.
* Relevant experience of teaching the National Curriculum.
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding in schools.
Desirable Experience
* Subject leadership experience (not essential but desirable).
* Teaching experience in KS1.
* Experience of delivering Red Rose Phonics.

Important Dates
Visits to the school are welcome by appointment on: Friday 3rd October and Friday 10th October at 11am or 4pm on each day. The closing date for applications is Monday 13th October at 12 noon. Shortlisted candidates will be informed and invited to teach as part of the final stage of recruitment. Interviews are scheduled for Wednesday 22nd October 2025.
