Cognitive Behavioural Therapist/Supervisor
We are looking for a CBT therapist supervisor to join our psychological professionals team, offering clinical work and supervision in our adult mental health community services. We are looking for those who are innovative, flexible, and passionate about contributing to delivering services that provide trauma‑informed, person‑centred care in adult community mental health.
Main duties
* Provide CBT to clients across all sectors of care, including specialist CBT assessment and therapy.
* Offer advice and consultation on clients’ CBT care to non‑CBT colleagues and other carers.
* Supervise other CBT Therapists, Trainee CBT Therapists, and Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners (MHWPs), giving guidance and advice on treatment, referrals, and caseload management.
* Hold a clinical caseload and provide supervision without line management responsibilities.
About the Team
Our CBT therapist supervisors form part of a team with our CBT Lead, Lead practitioner psychologists, Lead psychological professionals, Lead Nursing and Allied Health Professionals, Medical and Operational colleagues as part of an experienced, compassionate trauma‑informed and person‑centred multidisciplinary leadership team. We are keen to support psychological professionals’ development. Training and supervision in leadership, and clinical interventions to deliver and support our NICE‑informed care pathways are encouraged.

Location and Working Pattern
* Location: West ICA - Kerrier, Penwith and Isles of Scilly, PL31 2QT.
* Working pattern: Full‑time, Permanent.
* Band 7, Salary: £47,810 to £54,710 per annum.
Person Specification – Essential Education & Experience
* Psychological Therapist/High intensity therapist (CBT) with a core mental health training (e.g. nursing, social work), accredited and registered BABCP and professional registration (HCPC/NMC/SWE).
* Significant experience working as a CBT therapist and demonstrating the competencies required.
* BABCP accredited.
* Successfully completed or willing to undertake CBT supervisor training.
Knowledge and Abilities
* Demonstrates knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health/benefits & employment systems.
* Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common health problems.
* Understands the need to use evidence‑based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post.
