Our client's friendly nursery in Richmond-upon-Thames is seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to join their team as Nursery Room Practitioners. You'll play a vital role in creating a fun and stimulating environment where children aged 0-5 years can learn, grow, and thrive.
About the role:
* Work alongside experienced colleagues to provide high-quality care and education for children in a specific age group.
* Deliver engaging activities and play opportunities that support all areas of children's development, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Build strong relationships with children, fostering trust and encouraging their emotional and social development.
* Assist with nappy changing, mealtimes, and other routines, ensuring children's comfort and well-being.
* Observe and document children's progress, communicating effectively with parents and carers.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to all safeguarding and hygiene regulations.
* Participate in team meetings and training opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge.
Person specification:
* Qualified Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or equivalent level 3 qualification.
* DBS on the Update Service
* First Aid certificate with at least 1 year remaining.
* Passionate about working with young children and committed to their learning and development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, and resourceful, with a love for play and creativity.
* Patient, caring, and understanding, with a commitment to nurturing each child's individual needs.
* Flexible and adaptable, able to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
* A good level of written and spoken English.
* Willingness to complete relevant training and development opportunities.
