Int. C# (.NET) Developer with Visual Studio, Oracle DB and JAVA experience to provide development and on-call production support for our insurance client
Duration: 10 Months (Extension likely)
Location: Hybrid - Toronto, Winnipeg or London, ON - 3x/week onsite
On-Call Requirement:
2 on-call lists, one for during business hours (5-person rotation - 1 every 5 weeks.) and one for off hours (4-person rotation 1 every 4 weeks.). Both rotations are 1 week in duration, from Wed noon to Wed noon.
Responsibilities:
1. Build positive relationships with clients to deliver excellent customer service
2. Build high-quality integration solutions using team best practices and techniques
3. Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver complex multi-tier application solutions
4. Support all phases of software delivery from design, development and testing through to deployment.
5. Provide technical expertise to make code design and implementation decisions
6. Provide ongoing daily operations support and remediation via incident management of production applications within Investments line of business
7. Provide first on call and back up support on a rotating basis
8. Focus on continually improving and automating integration solutions and processes
9. Contribute to the standards and guidelines throughout the application environment
10. Focus on continuous learning and professional development
Must Haves:
11. Minimum of 7 years as a software developer, with at least 5 years practical experience developing system integrations
12. Proficiency with software development techniques such as Unit Testing, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Automated Testing
13. Proven knowledge and experience with
14. Visual Studio including .NET, HTML5
15. .NET software framework
16. Java
17. Web Services
18. Service Oriented Architecture
19. Oracle 11G database and or Microsoft SQL Server
20. Microsoft Office tools
21. Sharepoint
22. Power Automate tools
23. Exposure to ETL technologies an asset
24. Experience with incident tracking and collaboration software: JIRA, Confluence, Service Now would be an asset
