The Opportunity
We are seeking Senior Project Managers with experience in the Energy sector to join us in our offices across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects across multiple technical disciplines for clients across the country. Project types may include energy from waste, solar, interconnectors, wind farms, substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, LVAC, pump stations, and more.
You will join a growing and collaborative team, delivering innovative and sustainable projects to improve efficiency and support environmental challenges. This is an opportunity to play an important role in the UK energy transition.
As a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects across the lifecycle, build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to a high standard of quality. You will proactively identify and mitigate risks, manage budgets and resources, and lead high-performing project teams with clear communication.
You will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and budgeting to execution and closeout, while leading teams and fostering collaboration.
About You
You will ideally hold a degree in a relevant field, with APMP qualifications advantageous. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is expected.
You will have prior experience in project management within the energy/engineering consultancy sector, with experience in project setup and financial monitoring processes, including coordinating with Project Managers for proposals, change orders, status reports, financial updates and forecasting. Experience with NEC contracts is a must.
This role collaborates with teams of PMs; you must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with excellent computer skills and enjoy a fast-paced, collaborative, multi-team environment.
You should demonstrate attention to detail, initiative in problem detection and resolution, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task across multiple projects.
