Experience - Minimum 3 years as a plant fitter. - NVQ level 3 Plant Engineering or Equivalent, DOE. - Previous experience working as a Plant Fitter/Engineer - Computer literate - Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures - Ability to work well within a team, offering support to others - Flexible and self-motivated - Great communication skills, verbal and written - Full Driving licence Desirable: - Forklift licence - NVQ or City and Guilds qualification in plant maintenance - An in-date CSCS card Job Responsibilities Effectively plan and complete service and maintenance for mechanical and non mechanical plant and specialist equipment, following manufacturer guidelines and company processes. Raise workshop jobs in the system detailing hours and parts used for all service, maintenance and repair work completed saving the updated certificates on the shared drive Request parts for workshop jobs to be ordered using the workshop module in the system. Ensure damage repairs are processed as rechargeable in the system where applicable and photographs are submitted to support charges Maintain stock of tools, spares and consumables held on the vehicle. Request purchase orders to be raised for stock shortfalls or parts required, and suggest stock holding levels requirements to management Identify equipment for disposal and highlight to management. Create workshop jobs for all scheduled on site work. Complete documentation for all scheduled and unscheduled work completed. Accurately record of hours and parts used on return to the depot. Liaise with the customer during all on site work to ensure they are aware of progress and potential down time of equipment. Maintain accurate stock levels within the system by ensuring orders are picked accurately. Report stock issues and highlight where customer orders could potentially be delayed. Complete stock checks as requested, feeding back to management and Quality Team. Support the business during annual stock checks. Complete tasks in accordance with risk assessments, notify the Team Leader of any potential noncompliance. Report accidents and Positive Interventions using the correct methods. Ensure the correct PPE is used in the depots at all times. Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping, ensure areas are free from waste and trip hazards etc. Identify/Submit positive interventions where needed. Work in conjunction with HSEQ policies and procedures.
