As a Team Leader for our Supported Living services at Hft South Oxfordshire, you will support adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives. About the role
About you
* Recent experience leading shifts, motivating, coaching, and mentoring teams
* Knowledge of legislation related to adults with learning disabilities, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and Positive Behavioural Support
* Good IT skills and experience in record keeping
* Level 2 Diploma in Adult Social Care; willingness to undertake Level 3 Diploma within an agreed timeframe
* Ability to lead, manage, and role model in people leadership, especially performance management
As a Team Leader, you will work with the Service Manager/Deputy Service Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory, legislative, and internal standards, including local authority contracts.
You will have responsibilities on and off shift, spending approximately 80% of your time in service. You will coach and mentor new staff, supporting their development and care certification. You will foster a culture of collaboration to ensure high-quality support, working with families and support networks.
You will act as a role model and custodian of our culture, making Hft a great place to work. You will encourage staff to help individuals become part of their community through employment, education, relationships, leisure, and self-expression.
You will promote good practice, health, safety, and wellbeing, respecting individuals' choices, completing risk assessments, and utilizing Hft systems effectively.
