Job Description:
We’re representing a global analytics provider supporting major consumer brands and retailers through its cutting-edge platforms. Following a strategic acquisition, they are seeking a UK-based Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support their UK SaaS platform.
This technical, production-facing role focuses on the stability, performance, and availability of enterprise Oracle environments running on Windows Server. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to develop skills in Microsoft SQL Server as the infrastructure evolves.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer, monitor, and optimise Oracle databases supporting the UK platform
* Manage backup, recovery, upgrades, patching, and high availability configurations
* Support schema changes, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
* Collaborate with development and support teams to resolve operational issues
* Document configurations and procedures for continuity and knowledge sharing
* Participate in on-call support and maintenance activities
* Develop skills in MS SQL Server and broader platform support
Requirements:
* Strong experience as a production Oracle DBA
* In-depth knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c, RMAN, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
* Strong SQL and PL/SQL development and tuning skills
* Experience running Oracle on Windows Server
* Understanding of security, backup, and high availability
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Interest or experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+)
* Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure)
* Experience supporting SaaS or enterprise applications
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing technical team working on mission-critical systems within a fast-evolving analytics business. The role is fully remote within the UK, offering flexibility and long-term career development.
