About the Role Northamptonshire Children's Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment Team. This is a front line service and the first point of contact for all incoming safeguarding concerns regarding children and young people across the county. Cases are initially screened by MASH before progressing to Duty and Assessment where you will be responsible for completing assessments, undertaking visits, and ensuring timely and effective safeguarding interventions. Responsibilities Respond to all new safeguarding referrals passed from MASH. Complete timely assessments, including Children in Need Undertake prompt home visits to ensure the immediate safety and well being of children. Manage a caseload of approximately 25-30 cases, capped at 35. Work with both individual children and larger family groups. Liaise with partner agencies such as health, education, and police to gather information, share updates, and coordinate interventions. Attend strategy discussions, case conferences, and multi-agency meetings as required. Implement Child in Need and Child Protection Plans.
