Do you have experience of being involved in the EHCP process? Would you like to join a charity that supports young people with SEN needs into coordinated work experience placements alongside educational support?
This charity is a great employer. We’ve had superb feedback from everyone we’ve helped find a job there. They also offer strong benefits, including 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy up to an additional 10 days. Other benefits include development opportunities and access to an employee assistance programme.
This role sits within their Supported Internship team. Young people aged 16–25 join the programme and receive around 30% classroom-based learning focused on functional and work-related skills, alongside approximately 70% work-based internships gaining experience with employers. EHCPs must be adhered to throughout.
Typical tasks include:
Assessing EHCPs for potential new learners to the programme to ensure needs can be met
Organising EHCP reviews
Ensuring EHCPs are being implemented with learners by coordinating with the wider team
Working closely with Local Authorities, parents, and other key stakeholders
Overseeing the annual pipeline of new learners and networking regularly with key referral partners
This is a permanent, full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. The position is 100% office-based in Walsall.
