About the role
The role of Lead Project Manager interfaces with many stakeholders and functions across the business, spanning many functions from NPI and Research into Commercial, Operations, Quality and Finance. You will ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner and gain a sufficient level of understanding of the development to be able to communicate the projects status to senior management, whilst being comfortable in challenging the paradigm when required.
You will work across all disciplines of design, research, procurement, manufacturing, commercial and marketing to ensure an integrated project delivery strategy aligns to the wider business strategy. Our briefs can often be loose and changeable, so you must be comfortable in a fast moving, ambiguous environment. Skills in managing a dynamic environment will be critical to the role.
1. Lead teams to deliver multiple New Product Development (NPD) projects of works that supports the delivery of technically superior products.
2. Ensure that NPD projects are delivered smoothly from Proof-of-Concept through Start of Production (SOP), meeting deadlines, quality standards, specifications and cost targets.
3. Manage and mitigate project risks and issues effectively without compromising the success of the projects.
4. Manage projects level priorities and scope to avoid conflicts and bottlenecks and resolve projects level risks and issues.
5. Holds projects reviews to evaluate and manage progress accordingly.
6. Manage senior stakeholders, removing barriers, building relationships and resolving conflict.
7. Ensure good collaboration with functional and operational teams to ensure adoption of tools and techniques.
About you
8. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferable First or Second-Class Upper preferred).
9. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
10. Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and Power BI.
11. Willing and able to travel internationally on a frequent basis.
12. Experience in the integrated product development of software, hardware, and mechanical solutions.
13. Demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic, high-pressure environments, with a proven capacity to adapt to evolving priorities
