Play a key role in delivering complex nuclear programmes by turning cost data into meaningful insights that drive smarter project decisions.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cost Manager to join a high performing PMO team working on major nuclear energy programmes. You will play a critical role in ensuring projects remain financially controlled, transparent and aligned to programme baselines.
Working alongside project, finance and commercial teams, you will help deliver accurate cost reporting, meaningful performance analysis and improved cost management processes. Key Responsibilities
* Support the Cost Lead in implementing effective cost systems, procedures and reporting templates
* Ensure timely and accurate submission of project cost data including EAC, ETC and ACWP reporting
* Track and monitor actual costs against established cost control structures
* Perform Earned Value analysis and trend reporting to assess programme performance
* Analyse programme cost data to support forecasting, budgeting and decision making
* Assist with cost re-baselining exercises and updates to forecasts and budgets
* Work closely with finance and commercial teams to ensure accurate accruals and contract cost performance
* Review and analyse change requests ensuring cost data is correctly coded and aligned with budgets
* Support project teams in the use of cost management tools and provide user guidance
* Produce clear cost performance reports for project teams and senior stakeholders
Qualifications & Requirements
* Degree level education or equivalent professional qualification
* Membership of, or working towards membership of, a relevant professional body
* Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
* Experience within Project Controls on major programmes
* Knowledge of cost estimating, cost control and cost analysis practices
* Understanding of Earned Value methodologies
* Experience using cost management tools such as PRISM, EcoSys or Cobra
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
* Ability to communicate complex cost and performance data clearly
* Proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge processes and improve performance reporting
