Business & Project Management Partner
Contract | Filton (Hybrid – 60% onsite)
An established aerospace engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Business & Project Management Partner to support a high‑performing engineering function within a complex, multi‑programme environment. This role sits at the heart of business operations, working closely with engineering leaders to enable effective project delivery, resource management and performance control.
Contract Details
* Location: Filton, Bristol (60% onsite)
* Contract Duration: Until October 2026 with a strong likelihood of extension
* Rate: £42.39 per hour Umbrella / £31.68 per hour PAYE
* Working Pattern: 35 hours per week (overtime paid at standard rate)
* IR35: Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities
* Assure adherence to business and project management processes within an engineering functional team
* Support annual and multi‑year workload planning, resourcing and financial forecasting
* Monitor and control deviations to plans, escalating risks and opportunities as required
* Manage internal resourcing activities and external engineering suppliers in line with policies and processes
* Collate, analyse and report key performance indicators to support business and performance management
* Provide guidance and mentoring on business and project management best practice
* Deputise for functional leaders in governance reviews covering resourcing, finance and performance
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and new ways of working across the engineering community
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in business management and/or project management
* Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced engineering or technical environment
* Experience with workload management, planning, resource control and performance reporting
* Analytical mindset with confidence using digital tools and data
* Resilient, proactive and comfortable challenging the status quo
