About the Role
Hays Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant within a welcoming and supportive school. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting pupils' learning and development.The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning across the classroom, provide 1:1 or small group intervention where required, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils in the classroom, including 1:1 and small group work
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
* Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
* Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
* Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essential
* A qualified Teaching Assistant (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3) is beneficial but not essential
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
* Ability to work full time and commit to the role
