Offer description

Overview

ICRAS (Integrated Reablement and Assessment Service) is a unique service providing a rapid, responsive approach to support admission avoidance and early hospital discharges. We are looking for an occupational therapist to join our multidisciplinary teams across Liverpool and South Sefton. The role can involve rotations within ICRAS hubs, community and Reablement Pathway to enable skill development and career progression. We are part of a wider rotational scheme within Mersey Care, which may include mental health services, Paediatrics, Pulmonary Rehab, Early Supported Stroke rehab, and more.

We are a supportive team including a senior nurse, pharmacist, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrist, therapy and health practitioner assistants, and advanced clinical practitioners. Our neighbourhood approach covers Liverpool and South Sefton, working with intermediate care hubs and planned therapies to support patients with long-term conditions, reablement pathways, and more.

We are a large NHS Trust committed to investing in its future and its staff, with a focus on delivering high quality, safe, effective and patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

* Provide occupational therapy services within ICRAS, including rotations across hubs, community settings, and Reablement Pathways.
* Collaborate as part of multidisciplinary teams to promote allied health professional development and deliver high-quality care.
* Engage in supervision, training, and performance development to support your ongoing development and career progression.
* Contribute to service development and rotation-based opportunities within Mersey Care and associated services.

* Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant therapy background.
* Motivation to work in rapid-response, reablement and integrated care settings.
* Commitment to delivering the Trust’s values and the principle of perfect care: safe, effective, positively experienced, timely, equitable and efficient.

What We Offer

* A robust support structure with regular clinical supervision and performance development review
* A comprehensive monthly in-service training programme
* Opportunities to support service delivery including audits and in-service training
* Monthly peer group support
* Opportunities to develop peers, students and therapy assistants
* Be part of the development of services at the centre of the future direction of healthcare
* Structured career progression, support and opportunities
* Flexible working patterns and our commitment to a good work-life balance

Mersey Care is one of the largest trusts providing physical health and mental health services in the North West, serving more than 1.4 million people across our region and are also commissioned for services that cover the North West, North Wales and the Midlands. We offer specialist inpatient and community services that support physical and mental health, and specialist inpatient mental health, learning disability, addiction and brain injury services. Mersey Care is one of only three trusts in the UK that offer high secure mental health facilities. At the heart of all we do is our commitment to "perfect care" — care that is safe, effective, positively experienced, timely, equitable and efficient. We support our staff to do the best job they can and work alongside service users, their families, and carers to design and develop future services together. We are delivering a programme of organisational and service transformation to significantly improve the quality of the services we provide and safely reduce cost as we do so.
