About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Interim Director, Integrated Access and Flow Network, and working closely with senior leadership, the Health Services Manager (HSM) oversees the implementation and quality of the Care NS Hub within the new Health Beyond Hospital (HBH) model. The HSM fosters partnerships with acute and tertiary care, primary health care, community, government, and emergency services to support system transformation and strategic goals. Responsibilities include leading and developing the person-centered Care NS Hub teams across Nova Scotia, aligning program leadership, human resources, fiscal management, and professional standards with the broader health care model and strategic framework.
About You
We welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
* Baccalaureate degree in a health-related discipline; nursing, OT, PT, SW, RD preferred
* Master’s degree preferred (e.g., MHA, DHA)
* Current registration or eligibility with relevant health professional college/association
* 5-7 years recent clinical leadership/management experience
* Experience managing multiple projects, preferably in unionized environments
* Knowledge of access, flow, acute care, community health, and health promotion in diverse communities
* Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
* Experience in program development, project management, and evaluation
* Ability to work with physicians and establish collaborative teams
* Sound judgment, initiative, and decision-making skills
* Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
* Understanding of organizational culture and transformation work
* Awareness of system interdependencies and stakeholder impacts
* Commitment to professional growth and leadership
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards (OH&S, Infection Control, Privacy, Accreditation)
* Leadership, team development, and organizational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and health information systems
* Additional language skills, especially French, are assets
Hours
* Full-time, 75 hours biweekly
* Travel required to other sites
Compensation and Benefits
$46.36 - $61.60 hourly. Benefits include health, dental, travel, disability, life insurance, and pension plans.
