An established & expanding company specialising in the manufacture of Architectural Masonry, we are looking to recruit:
A reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to move, load, and wrap our products in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating fork trucks and committed to maintaining product integrity, workplace safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate forklift to move materials safely and efficiently
* Load and unload trucks
* Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks
* Wrap pallets securely using shrink wrap by hand to ensure safe shipment
* Inspect pallets for safe stability before transporting and any quality issues.
* Maintain accurate inventory movements
* Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues
* Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
* Keep work area clean and organised
Experience within the Cast Stone Industry is welcomed but not essential as full training will be provided.
To fulfil this role you will:
Have a valid fork truck driving license.
Reliable & amiable
Physically fit & able to comfortably & competently lift 20-25kg
Have good basic numeracy skills. You will be required to read, check & record measurements & quantities
Be able to effectively communicate in English both verbally & written. This is essential for our Health & safety policies
Have a flexible approach to working hours & duties in line with the needs of the company. This includes Saturdays as & when required
Be able to travel independently to & from works at HX1 4DB within stated working hours. Working Hours: Generally between 06:00 - 18:00 Mon - Friday. Saturdays as & when required generally between 06:00 - 14:00
Hourly Rate: £ £14 p/h, plus overtime @ time and half
28 days paid annual leave.
