SEN Support worker
Location: Birmingham B13
Contract Type: Full time 8:30-3:30
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personalised one-to-one or small group support to pupils with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to each child’s individual learning goals.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction through supportive and consistent care.
* Help pupils with daily routines, emotional regulation, and sensory processing.
* Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for every pupil.
* Keep accurate records and contribute to progress reviews as required.
About You
Essential Qualities & Experience:
* Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs in an educational, care, or community setting.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A proactive attitude and genuine passion for helping young people thrive.
* An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
