JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently recruiting for a proactive and committed Evening Shift Team Leader to join a fast-paced manufacturing and logistics environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency during the late shift and supporting the wider team to meet production targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead, coach, and support a team of operatives to meet daily production goals.
2. Act as the primary contact for resolving team-related issues and escalating concerns when necessary.
3. Maintain a calm and professional approach, especially under pressure, and ensure accountability across the team.
4. Review shift schedules and assess staffing and equipment needs.
5. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lead by example.
6. Ensure effective handovers between shifts, sharing relevant updates and performance metrics.
7. Provide support across production and warehouse functions as needed.
8. Assist in workload allocation and resource planning in collaboration with shift management.
9. Adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate flexibility with working hours.
10. Organise and direct tasks to meet production timelines and priorities.
11. Manage labour levels and overtime requirements to meet operational demands.
12. Support recruitment activities in partnership with shift leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
13. Previous experience in a production or warehouse setting.
14. Proven track record of supervising and developing teams.
15. Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and commitment to compliance.
16. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
17. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
