Warm and friendly personal assistant wanted to support our joyful 4‑year‑old son in Crawley. The role involves day‑to‑day support at home and in the community.

Employment status: Employed.
Hours per week: Saturday 3 hours plus 39 flexible hours per year. Extra hours may be available during the week. Applicants should provide availability.
Hourly pay rate: £15 per hour with mileage paid at 45p per mile (NEW RATE OF PAY).
Driver’s licence: Required.
Own vehicle: Needed.
Duties
* Eating and drinking assistance
* Transportation and accompaniment to appointments
* Companionship and social interaction
* Dressing / undressing
* Bathroom assistance
* Facilitate social and leisure activities such as walks, park visits, swimming
* Engage in sensory play and activities at home
* Other relevant duties as required

* Able to follow instructions and work on own initiative
* Hygienic, tidy and well organised
* Fit and healthy to undertake required duties
* Patient with excellent interpersonal skills

* Able to work to high standards of health & safety
Desirable Qualities
* Experience working with children, especially with SEN or communication needs
* Familiarity with Makaton or willingness to learn
Additional Requirements
* Non‑smoker preferred or willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
* Vulnerable to risk of infection and disease transmission
