West Suffolk Council Address: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 3YU Salary: £29,540 - £32,597 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Permanent Reference: 0702 About the role We are looking for an efficient, enthusiastic and solutions focused individual to join our Legal Services team, which is shared across West Suffolk Council and Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils (the Councils) (Legal Services). In this varied role you will be part of the legal business support team providing administrative support across the specialist areas of Planning, Regulatory, Commercial and Property law. You will work with and provide support to lawyers and other colleagues, on legal matters, producing template documents, responding to enquiries, managing information and data on a case management system. You will develop your knowledge in all areas within the legal team to ensure resilience in the support function. What you will need You will possess excellent administration, communication and IT skills including use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, with proven experience of working with databases and IT systems; the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and be highly organised, with an attention to detail and accuracy. These are all essential for this role. You will be a highly motivated self-starter with a huge amount of enthusiasm, a team player with a willingness to adopt a flexible approach to your work. Experience in a legal environment or working with a case management system is not essential as training will be provided, however you will have the willingness and ability to learn and develop your knowledge.
